Last week's Skydio Ascend user conference was nothing short of extraordinary. The excitement in the air was palpable as we unveiled the Skydio X10 and shared some other updates for our customers. In this blog post, we'll address some common questions and provide a quick update on our upcoming roadshow.
Skydio X10 Availability
X10 units are targeted to start shipping to U.S. customers later this year. Additionally, most X10 attachments are targeted to start shipping in the first few months of 2024, allowing you to customize your X10 for whatever missions come your way. We will not hold orders for attachment availability. In other words, you may receive your X10, while your ordered attachments ship separately as they become available.
And for our international customers, in Japan, Canada, Mexico, Australia, and New Zealand the X10 is targeted to ship early next year. We don’t currently have planned availability in other markets.
Skydio X10D Availability, Blue UAS and NDAA Compliance
The X10D is targeted to ship early next year. It will be available for use worldwide by government and defense customers. The Skydio X10D (along with the X10) is already NDAA compliant, and we are in the process of seeking Blue UAS certification.
Additionally, Skydio is hosting an exclusive event in Washington D.C. with guest speakers to discuss the role of small UAS in U.S. and allied nation defense. Participants will also have an opportunity to view and experience the X10D live.
NightSense Availability
Skydio NightSense, which enables fully autonomous flight including obstacle avoidance in zero-light environments, is targeted to ship early next year. Customers may receive their X10 and X10D prior to receiving the NightSense attachment, either IR or visible light.
X10 Does Not Require a Software Subscription
In previous product generations - the Skydio 2+ and X2 - organizations were required to subscribe to Skydio Autonomy Enterprise. This is not the case with X10. There is no required subscription to any additional product to have a fully functional Skydio X10. There are optional Skydio software products that enable more advanced workflows for mission planning, data capture, and data synthesis.
What's the price of the X10?
